Education Desk: CBSE 12th class results were declared on Monday. Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank gave this information.

You can check the result at http://cbseresults.nic.in. The board was informed that 88.78% of students passed the 12th CBSE examination this year. Trivandrum, Bengaluru and Chennai are at the top three in terms of performance in the exam this year.

Girls have again scored in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) 12th examination and this time more than five per cent students have passed.

In the results released by CBSE on Monday, Trivandrum region ranked first with 97.7 percent while Patna region stood at the bottom with 74 .57 percent.

This year 92.15 percent girls and 86.19 percent students have passed, while 67.67 percent kinnar students have passed.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya ranks among all schools in the country with 98.7 per cent results while Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan stands second with 98.2 per cent. The result of the Central Tibetan School was 98.23 per cent.

Government school results are 94.94 percent and government-funded schools 91.56 percent. According to the CBSE release, this year 11,92,961 students of 13109 schools took the exams out of which 10,59,080 students passed and thus 88.88 percent results were this year, which is 5.38 percent more than last year.

This year fewer students appeared in the exam than last year. According to the release, Bangalore stood at second place this year with 90.05 per cent result in Chennai 96.17, Delhi West 94.61, East Delhi 92.24, Panchkula 92.52, Chandigarh 92.04, Bhubaneswar 91.46, Bhopal 90.5, Pune 90.24, Ajmer 87.60, Noida 84.87, Guwahati. 83.37, Dehradun 83.22 and Prayagraj 82.49 percent. This year, the students getting more than 95 percent are 30,686 while the students getting more than 90 percent are 1,57,934.
